Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist confirmed the announcement on Monday. The game is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s company, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension to continue in that role through 2029. Under Roc Nation’s direction, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap acts. Last year’s performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara starred Bad Bunny, with appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles hosts the event for the third time in five years. The 2022 show at SoFi Stadium featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Other recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Jay-Z has a long connection to the NFL and its performers but has never played in the Super Bowl. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently on the Jay-Z 30 Tour. The tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt,” and the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.”
The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It included two shows in London and one in Paris in September. Jay-Z held his final scheduled tour dates on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those concerts effectively serve as a rehearsal for his upcoming halftime performance at the same venue.
