A statistical model projects Tennessee will beat Kentucky 27-19 in a top-10 matchup on Saturday. The simulation, which has an 80-77 record on top-rated picks, ran every Football Bowl Subdivision game 10,000 times to generate these forecasts. The model identifies the Vols as the better value against the spread. It predicts they will cover the 6.5-point line in 53% of the simulated outcomes.

Kentucky enters the game as a major surprise of the season. First-year head coach Will Stein has led the Wildcats to a 7-1 record. That includes a 5-1 mark in the SEC, which allows them to tie Georgia for the lead in the conference standings. The road trip to Neyland Stadium is their toughest test yet. The venue is widely considered one of the most difficult places to play in the nation.

Tennessee has shown strong home dominance this year. The Vols defeated Alabama by 16 points in their most recent home game. They have covered the spread in every SEC game they have hosted so far. The model expects that trend to continue. It anticipates the Tennessee defense will keep the total in the 40s, staying under the 50.5-point line. The Under was selected in 62% of the simulation runs.

The Week 10 slate features six ranked teams and two other top-10 contests. No. 9 BYU will travel to face No. 3 Utah, with the Utes listed as 5.5-point favorites. In the other marquee game, top-ranked Miami will visit No. 11 Notre Dame. The Irish are favored by 7 points in that matchup. These games are set to headline the weekend broadcast schedule.

Other notable lines include No. 2 Georgia visiting No. 10 Ole Miss, with the Rebels receiving 3.5 points. No. 5 Alabama will face No. 14 LSU, with the Crimson Tide favored by 5.5 points. No. 7 Texas will play at No. 18 Missouri, who are given a 2.5-point cushion. Oregon will visit No. 12 Ohio State, where the Buckeyes are favored by 7.5 points.

Odds for the Week 10 games are sourced from FanDuel and are subject to change. The schedule includes games starting as early as Wednesday, November 4. Matchups such as Ball State at UMass and Toledo at Sacramento State open the week. The bulk of the action occurs on Saturday, November 7. That day features multiple ranked teams and high-stakes conference battles across the country.

The model’s approach involves analyzing current odds from sportsbooks to determine the most favorable outcomes. It uses historical data and simulation results to account for variables that may influence the final result. The focus on the Tennessee-Kentucky game reflects the system’s confidence in the home team’s ability to maintain its defensive standards against a highly ranked opponent.
