Election Day Clears NBA Schedule
Thirty teams play Monday as fantasy sports pros analyze roster gaps and matchup advantages for daily fantasy contests.

The National Basketball Association cleared its Tuesday schedule to allow voters to participate in the election. Because no games are scheduled for Tuesday, all 30 teams play on Monday. This expansion of the slate provides a larger pool of players for daily fantasy sports contests on FanDuel and DraftKings.
FanDuel lists eleven games on its main slate for the day. DraftKings includes twelve games. The increased volume of matchups allows fantasy players to build lineups with a wider variety of options. SportsLine analyst Mike McClure reviews the player pool to identify value plays. McClure has earned more than $2 million in career winnings. He uses a predictive model that simulates every minute of each game 10,000 times. The model factors in matchups, statistical trends, and injury reports to determine optimal lineups.
McClure identifies New York Knicks wing Josh Hart as a top pick. Hart is priced at $5,800 on both major fantasy sites. The lower price reflects his limited scoring potential. He consistently accumulates steals, assists, and rebounds. His matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday offers a favorable situation for accumulating those stats. McClure views Hart as an affordable play with high upside on this full slate.
Orlando Magic wing Desmond Bane is another target for Monday. Bane is listed at $7,000 on DraftKings and $6,800 on FanDuel. He is expected to assume a larger scoring role because Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs are ruled out with ankle and knee injuries, respectively. Bane has played at least 34 minutes in his last four games. He played 40 minutes against the Boston Celtics in his previous outing. His matchup against the Washington Wizards offers a path to 20 points along with multiple assists and rebounds.
Fantasy players must lock in their lineups before the Monday games begin. McClure notes that one specific player with an optimal matchup could determine tournament results. That player represents a high-risk, high-reward option for cash games and tournaments. The selection of these specific players relies on the data generated by the 10,000-simulation model. The model prioritizes expected value over player reputation. The full slate of games provides the necessary data points for these calculations.
The absence of games on Tuesday shifts the entire schedule to Monday. This structural change affects the availability of players for fantasy contests. Managers must account for the increased minutes required of key players due to the condensed schedule. The injury status of Banchero and Suggs directly impacts Bane's fantasy value. The specific prices on DraftKings and FanDuel reflect these dynamic roster changes. The data from the simulation model guides the final selection of these high-value targets.
