Lindsey Carl and Brandon Byrd married on Monday evening in Lot H of Lincoln Financial Field. The ceremony occurred during the Monday Night Football tailgate party. Garage Beer sponsored the event, which the company labeled the Tailgate Wedding of the Century. The couple, now the Byrds, exchanged vows in the parking lot before the game began.

The arrangement originated from a partnership between TrueFan Travel and Garage Beer. Vince Rizzuto, CEO of TrueFan Travel, explained that the beer company approached them over the summer regarding a wedding project. Rizzuto noted that his company already had a relationship with the Philly Pops. The band wanted to perform at a tailgate. Rizzuto said the organization combined these elements to create the event.

The couple learned of the opportunity through an Instagram giveaway. Carl and Byrd, who reside in Chicago, submitted a 90-second video entry. They described themselves as dedicated Eagles fans who maintain a fan group and watch games in specific Chicago bars. Byrd stated that the video focused on their future surname and their commitment to drinking Garage Beer for the rest of their lives. The couple was selected as the winner approximately two and a half weeks before the ceremony.

The wedding party featured specific team apparel. Carl wore a wedding dress and Eagles cowgirl boots. Byrd wore a green suit, Eagles socks, and a feather pin on his jacket. Carl walked down a green aisle with her father beside her. Jason Kelce and Beau Allen, both former Eagles, distributed beer to guests as they walked the aisle. Shane Victorino, a Phillies star, officiated the ceremony.

The Philly Pops performed music before, during, and after the vows. The band played for the family and friends who attended the gathering. The event took place in the same parking lot where fans typically gather for the team's home games. The wedding concluded ahead of the start of Monday Night Football.
