Bayboro Brewing will host a free Veterans Day event this Saturday, November 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at its location at 2390 5th Ave S in St. Petersburg. The gathering is designed to support local veterans and nonprofits while raising funds for Thanksgiving dinners.
The day serves as a fundraiser for Hearts Behind the Heroes. This organization provides Thanksgiving meals for 600 recently homed veterans and their families. Attendees can contribute to this goal through a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, or by adding to the "Buy A Vet A Meal" tab. A donation of $50 covers a full Thanksgiving dinner for a veteran and a family of four.
Bayboro Brewing is veteran owned and operated. The venue will provide free beer to all military veterans for the duration of the event through its ongoing "Buy A Vet A Beer" program. Guests can contribute to this tab to help pay for their fellow veterans' drinks. Scotty’s Barbershop will also be present, offering free haircuts to any veteran who visits during the party.
The event features live music from local bands and performers in the brewery's indoor and outdoor spaces. Local vendors will be on-site to participate in the festivities. The full kitchen will serve its regular menu of smoked meats and craft cocktails, along with special holiday items including jambalaya and cowboy beans.
Bayboro Brewing has established itself as a local hub for craft beer, barbecue, and live music. The business supports local arts and community initiatives through its operations. The venue encourages attendees to follow its social media channels for further details on the lineup and activities.
The event is open to the public at no cost. It runs from early afternoon into the early evening hours. The combination of entertainment, food, and fundraising activities aims to bring together the St. Petersburg community to honor those who have served in the military.
