Abdou Toure, a true freshman guard at Arkansas, has signed with Mainstay Sports Agency, the company operated by rapper Rod Wave, sources told ESPN. The announcement was made Wednesday. The rapper, born Rodarius Macell Green, said his staff first flagged Toure's name, prompting him to review the player's high school film before initiating contact.

Green said the recruitment began after his team at Mainstay mentioned Toure. He watched the guard's high school highlights and reached out. "I believe he's a superstar talent, and a superstar person," Green said in a statement to ESPN. "I love his family, and he trusts and believes in me the same as I believe in him. I take that seriously, it's an honor."

Toure played forward at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut. He finished 16th overall in the SCNext 100 class of 2026 rankings and was ranked the No. 6 small forward. During his final summer season with the AAU program BABC (MA), he averaged 15.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. The two sides connected through that program. Toure called the decision to sign with Green straightforward.

"He was honest from Day 1 with me," Toure said. "He also understood the family and trust part, which is extremely important to me and wanting to grow and learn things from each other." Green said he sees his own habits in the freshman. "He leads by example, he's not loud about it," Green said. "It reminds me of myself, I never wanted to be the loudest, I wanted my results to speak for me. I believe that we have that in common."

Toure committed to Arkansas in October 2025 and said head coach John Calipari's record drew him to Fayetteville. The Razorbacks begin their regular season Tuesday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 8 p.m. ET on SEC Network+.
