Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's English Home Reportedly Hit by Flash Floods

Photos published by TMZ reportedly show flood damage at the couple's Cotswolds property, weeks after DeGeneres denied earlier reports that the home had flooded.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's new home in England has reportedly been flooded, only weeks after the couple pushed back on earlier reports of the same thing. The claim follows their move to the United Kingdom in the wake of the U.S. presidential election.

TMZ published photos on Thursday that it said showed the aftermath of flash floods at the couple's 43-acre property in the Cotswolds, roughly 100 miles northwest of London.

DeGeneres, an Emmy winner, and de Rossi, known for "Arrested Development," made a permanent move to England in the weeks following Donald Trump's reelection. A source told TMZ the pair wanted to "get the hell out" of the United States, and the election results reportedly left them "very disillusioned."

Within days of the move, several outlets reported that the couple's new house was among the properties affected by severe flooding from storms Bert and Conall. DeGeneres rejected those accounts, saying the home had come through unharmed.

"P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood," she said in an anniversary tribute to de Rossi.

This is not the first time severe weather has disrupted the couple's lives. In January 2023, DeGeneres and de Rossi had to evacuate their home in Montecito, California, as deadly storms and flooding swept across the state. DeGeneres shared video of the damage left by what she called "unprecedented rain," which prompted mandatory evacuation orders.

As of Thursday, she had not posted about the latest reported flooding. A representative for DeGeneres did not immediately respond to the Daily News' request for comment.

DeGeneres has largely stayed out of public view since allegations of a toxic workplace in 2020, which led to the end of her talk show two years later. Earlier this year, she launched what she described as her final comedy tour, "Ellen's Last Stand…Up Comedy Tour," along with a Netflix special, "For Your Approval."
